  • 2012 Nephrology Conference set for May 23 & 24 in Columbus, Ohio
    The Renal Network will host the 2012 Nephrology Conference for ESRD Networks 4, 9 and 10 on May 23 and 24 at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. For more information, click on the following links:

    Sign-Up for Poster Session! The Renal Network will host a Poster Session for participants during the 2012 Nephrology Conference.

  • Whose life Is It Anyway? Is a free, one-day patient empowerment program for pre-dialysis patients, dialysis patients, and their family members.   • CMS issues changes to final rule for ESRD PPS and requirements for QIP.
  • The provisions in the final rule will be effective for payments to dialysis facilities on or after Jan. 1, 2012; and the new requirements for the ESRD QIP will affect the payment rates in payment years 2013 and 2014. Download final rule in PDF format [849Kb].

  • NHSN Enrollment and Set-Up for Outpatient Dialysis [Download slides PDF, 8.2Mb] This Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) webinar provides instructions for enrolling in NHSN. The one hour webinar presentation covers training and preparation, rules of behavior, registration, requesting and installing the digital certificate, submitting the survey and signing the consent form.

5 Diamond Patient Safety Program

5 Diamond Patient Safety Program logo

The 5 Diamond Patient Safety Program is now available in ESRD Network 4 (Pennsylvania and Delaware), ESRD Network 9 (Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky), and ESRD Network 10 (Illinois). The 5 Diamond Safety Program is a voluntary program to assist dialysis facilities with specific areas of patient safety. The program includes tools and resources needed to implement these different aspects of patient safety. NRAA Develops Bundling Tool - The National Renal Administrators Association has developed the NRAA Bundling Tool to provide a way to estimate the impact of the bundled payment regulation on dialysis organizations. To view the tool, go to www.nraa.org.
