  Board of Trustees and the Medical Review Board Nominations 

Nomination Process Now Open for 2007 Election to the Board of Trustees and the Medical Review Board of The Renal Network, Inc.

Nominations are now being accepted for election to positions on the Network BOARD OF TRUSTEES & MEDICAL REVIEW BOARD. The Nomination Form can be downloaded and used for nominations to either committee.

The Medical Review Board (MRB) is the primary working committee of the Network, dealing with quality improvement, data analysis & dissemination, special studies, site visitation and grievance resolution. The Board of Trustees is the primary administrative committee of the Network, dealing with strategic planning, finances, and oversight of the CMS contract. Medical Review Board: Positions are available for:

  • Two nephrologists
  • One Physician At-Large (any discipline)
  • One Pediatric Nephrologist
  • One Dietitian
  • One Nurse
  • One Administrator

Board of Trustees: Positions are available for:

  • One Nephrologist
  • One Physician At-Large (any discipline)
  • One Nurse

Interested individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by a colleague. If you are nominating a colleague, please be sure to check in advance to be sure the individual is interested! Members of the elected boards are required to attend three to four meetings per year (travel & hotel expenses are reimbursed). The elected term is three years, to begin January 1, 2008 and end December 31, 2010.

Nominees should complete the form for either the Board of Trustees or the Medical Review Board. (A nominee can only run for office on one committee.) The form, the personal statement and a CV should be submitted to the Network office by no later than THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2007.

2007 ELECTION TIMELINE:

JULY 2007: The Nominating Committee will review all nominations to decide the slate.

AUGUST 2007: The slate will be sent to the Board of Trustees for approval. Upon approval, the slate will be mailed to the Network Council Members in unit with ballots.

NOVEMBER 2007: Successful candidates will be notified of their election by late October/early November of 2007.
