Fellows Research Day to Highlight Original Investigations.
The third annual Midwest Nephrology Fellows Research Day is set for March 14, 2007 at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. The Call for Abstracts contains all of the details for fellows interested in submitting an abstract for consideration. The deadline for submission is February 9.
The purpose of the Midwest Nephrology Fellows Research Day is to create a forum where research trainees can orally present their original research observations in an informal format. Dr. Stuart Sprague is serving as the Program Chair for the 2007 event. Dr. Sprague is Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and is a professor of medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Senior faculty from the region will serve as judges for the presentations.
A maximum of 20 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation on the Research Day; the goal is to have at least one submission from each training program in the Midwest. The abstracts submitted should represent original research performed by the trainee in any area of basic or clinical nephrology/medicine. Review material or case reports are not acceptable. Post-doctoral research fellows are not eligible to submit.
This program is made possible through an unrestricted educational grant from Amgen. The 2007 Midwest Nephrology Fellows Research Day is being held in conjunction with the 2007 Nephrology Conference sponsored by The Renal Network, on March 15 and 16 at The Drake Hotel in Chicago.
