2009 Award Nominations
The Award considers individuals 21 years or older, who have been dialysis patients for at least a year, and who are able to travel. To nominate patients for the Award, please review the Award announcement and download and complete the nomination form and submit with facility staff recommendation(s) no later than October 30, 2008.
Background
In 2002, during the Annual Nephrology Conference, The Renal Network, Inc. established the Robert F. Felter Memorial Award.
At the award's unveiling, Dr. Jay Wish, Network Board President remarked: “This past March, the Network lost a mentor, leader and friend. Robert Lee Felter has been a voice for dialysis and transplant patients and a guiding force in much of what our Network has achieved. In life, Bob Felter’s courage, self-sacrifice and relentless devotion to patient care and quality of life, taught us all to value and celebrate the patient experience and point of view.”
The award will seek to honor individual patients for their contribution to patient services and education.
